AMO Jeans and Clothing, Made in Los Angeles
AMO takes its name from the Latin root word for love. The label started in Los Angeles in 2014 with five jean styles and one idea: that jeans should feel real on the body. It has since grown into a full wardrobe of premium, vintage-inspired denim and the pieces made to wear with it, all still made in Los Angeles.
KIWI sources AMO for modern premium denim that looks vintage. The washes are worn in, and the details follow classic American jeans, so relaxed jeans and high-rise straight-leg jeans look broken in from the first wear. The wide-leg and trouser jeans are cut with more drape, making them dressier women's denim.
The tops are cut to work with high-rise denim. Fitted V-neck tees and tank tops tuck in without bulk, and the cropped button-down shirt is short enough to leave untucked over a high waist. These women's tees and tanks are simple by design, and the long-sleeve T-shirts and sweatshirts bring the same shapes to heavier women's tops for colder weather.
The utility pants draw on military surplus the same way the denim draws on classic American jeans. Camo pants and army pants keep the roomy fit of the originals and replace jeans without changing the rest of the outfit, working with the same tees and knits. Cargo styles follow the same military references, and like the jeans, every pair is made in Los Angeles.
