Xirena Cotton Gauze Dresses & Poplin Shirts

Xirena has been designing out of Los Angeles since 2012, and the California ease shows in every piece. The label built its name on a boy-meets-girl sensibility, borrowing the relaxed lines of menswear and softening them with feminine detail.

The signature is a double-faced Chelsea cotton gauze, woven for a soft, gently crinkled hand that only improves with wear. It turns up across the dresses and shirting, alongside lightweight cotton poplin, linen, and twill. We brought Xirena into KIWI for exactly that range of everyday fabric, cut into pieces that hold up to real wear without asking much of the wearer.

The button-front shirts carry the house details: rolled sleeves, shirttail hems, a placket built to roll and stay. Poplin gives them a crisp, lived-in feel, while the gauze styles run softer and looser. The dresses follow the same logic, from tailored shirtdresses to swingier shapes that move with you, and the pull-on pants keep to drawstring waists and tapered legs. Xirena reads as put-together without ever looking fussy, which is why it sits so comfortably among our women's tops and dresses.
